Sayings and quotes were an integral part of Eva Silberknoll’s childhood. Grandmothers and great-grandmothers provided her with the right wisdom at every opportunity. Based on this, she began to create her own sayings. Coupled with a penchant for the surreal, these witty and often dreamy images are the result. With the help of these mixed techniques of photography, screen printing and stitched elements, the artist wants to inspire the viewer to dream. Small mistakes in the print are covered up with the sewing machine, crochet doilies serve as stencils for screen printing and wool is used for embroidery.
You may say I´m a dreamer? Yes, and you are f**king right.
