At the beginning of the year, I had the pleasure of leading a wonderful fragrance workshop at Augarten Gymnasium in Vienna. The annual theme of the art and design class was Endless Summer – and inspired by this idea, we created individual mood sprays.
There was plenty of blending, smelling, and experimenting. To complete the project, the students designed advertising posters for their fragrances. The mood sprays and their visual interpretations will be presented at the end of the school year as part of the Endless Summer exhibition.
The workshop brought great joy to all of us. Fragrances bring people together – they are deeply analogue, sensual, and personal. They evoke memories, awaken emotions, and open up new ways of engaging with creativity and artistic expression.
